We value our legacy greatly at Banco Sabadell and are committed to the preservation and dissemination of our rich historic heritage. That’s why in 2005, following our Chairman’s lead, the Banco Sabadell History Archive (AHBS) was created.
The AHBS is more than an archive; it is a time capsule that contains documents and objects that tell the story behind the banking and financial sector from 1637 to the present day. Our archive has a total storage capacity of 1,700 linear metres and 59,094 records (including archive and library documentation), providing a unique insight into the economic history of Catalonia and Spain.
Our commitment is not limited to conservation; the ongoing digitalisation of documents and photographs makes sure that this heritage is accessible to researchers and all those interested, preserving the physical integrity and historical relevance of our collection.
