Banco Sabadell, through its Companies Hub, and Cesce hosted a webinar entitled “Credit insurance and working capital finance: the key to risk-free grow”, coinciding with the launch of the new ‘Customer Assessment Service’.
The agreement between the two entities, signed at the beginning of the year, has led to the development of an innovative solution that aims to support and drive the profitable and secure growth of SMEs seeking to increase sales and secure better financing while minimising unnecessary risks.
Following the pilot testing phase, the service is now available through the Institution’s online banking service, enabling users to access Cesce’s CESNET platform. The portal allows Banco Sabadell’s business customers with annual turnover below 6 million euros to check, in real time, up to 20 debtors per company. It also facilitates access to coverage for commercial and financial risks through Cesce’s credit insurance solutions in an agile, swift and secure manner.
This integration makes it possible to obtain immediate information on the commercial and financial risk of their customers, offering a decisive competitive advantage in sales and financing decision-making.
During the event held at Banco Sabadell’s Companies Hub, the speakers coincided that credit insurance and debtor credit assessment have become a genuine driver of growth in a global environment marked by uncertainty. Carlos Dalmau, Chairman of the Spanish Factoring Association and Director of International Business at Banco Sabadell, highlighted that “working capital finance and financial planning are now essential to ensuring corporate stability and supporting expansion”.
In the same vein, Fernando San Martín, Head of Transformation, Digital Business and Innovation at Cesce, explained that “the true value of this solution lies in its simplicity: it offers sophisticated risk analysis while remaining accessible, intuitive and fully operational for SMEs”.
Experience over recent months has shown that this tool helps strengthen companies’ solvency, facilitates collection planning and integrates Cesce’s credit protection with the Bank’s working capital financing offering. Banco Sabadell’s Director of Working Capital Finance, Javier Villar, commented that “the service enables companies to sell with greater confidence, strengthen their financial position and gain access to immediate financing, practically addressing the real needs of businesses”.
According to Joaquim Montsant, Cesce’s Regional Director for Catalonia and the Balearic Islands, “this collaboration reflects the commitment of both institutions to supporting Spanish SMEs, helping them expand into domestic and international markets through secure and sustainable solutions”.
This initiative is part of Banco Sabadell’s Business Banking strategy, unveiled in 2024 and focused on sector specialisation, the digitalisation of services and enhanced risk management. Both the Bank and Cesce share the objective of strengthening the competitiveness of the Spanish business community by providing tools to improve liquidity, reduce exposure to defaults and support sustainable growth.
