This year, the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana Gran Premi Banc Sabadell 2022 celebrates its 73rd edition, bringing together a distinguished line-up of teams and cyclists on the roads of the three provinces in the Valencian Community.
The #VCV2022, supported by Banco Sabadell, will be the first major event on the international cycling calendar and will take place from 2 to 6 February, returning to its usual dates after the 2021 edition—which took place in April due to the pandemic.
New this year will be a school exhibition in the last kilometre of stage 5, where boys and girls can feel like professionals, crossing the same finish line and climbing the same podium as the cyclists from the international peloton.

1st stage (2 February) Les Alqueries – Torralba del Pinar
The 73rd Valencian round will start in the municipality of Les Alqueries, in the province of Castellón. The first stage consists of 166.7 km through the medium-height mountain terrain, with demanding sections, and it is ending with the new Torralba del Pinar finish line.
2nd stage (3 February) Bétera – Torrent
The province of Valencia will host the second stage of the Volta GP Banco Sabadell. The cycling peloton will set off from Bétera and cover 172.1 km of medium-height mountain terrain, with five mountain passes. This stage is suitable for adventurers and possible get-away seekers. It will conclude in the streets of Torrent.
3rd stage (4 February) Alicante – Antenas del Maigmó, Tibi
Alicante will be the main stage in the Volta GP Banco Sabadell, which will feature a new final stretch of dirt road which will test the endurance and skill of even the best cyclists in the peloton. The winner of this stage will be crowned at the top of the Antenas del Maigmó, Tibi, after overcoming the 155.1 km and six legendary mountain passes of this extremely tough stage.
4th stage (5 February) Orihuela – Torrevieja
The penultimate day of the Valencian round is starting in Orihuela and will be the sprinters’ shining moment—the longest stage, with a route of 193.1 km and a finish that could be decisive in Torrevieja.
5th stage (6 February) Paterna – Valencia
The last day of the Volta GP Banco Sabadell is the classic stage of Paterna – Valencia. A short and smooth stage, 92 km, which will put the fastest cyclists to the test and will be a tribute to the rightful winner of this #VCV2022.
