Summer is here and the time has come to enjoy a well-earned rest. If you are planning to travel abroad this holiday, you should know that you have several options available to you in terms of online payment methods so that you can manage your purchases and payments abroad easily and with all the security guarantees.
Take note of these recommendations:
- Activate payment abroad in your card. In this way, you will be able to make payments easily anywhere outside Spain. You can do this by using the Banco Sabadell app in Cards > Settings (bottom menu) > Activate the option ‘Purchases abroad’
- Check your credit limit in advance and if you need to extend it this summer you can do so through the Banco Sabadell App in Cards > Settings (bottom menu) > Choose the maximum amount to use in the month on your card. In the same section you can also choose the maximum amount you can withdraw cash per day.
- If you misplace your card while you’re travelling, you can turn it off temporarily for your security. This will lock your card for a period of time of your choosing and it can’t be used to take any action. If you finally locate it, you can turn it back on without any problems. You can activate this option in the Banco Sabadell App in My Card > Switch off, block or replace.
- In the event of loss or theft of your card, we recommend that you block it to avoid unwanted charges or fraudulent use. Activate this option in the Banco Sabadell App in My Card > Permanent block.
- What’s more, you can always activate the option of online purchases on your card and turn it off when you’re not doing e-commerce transactions. In this way, you will be able to monitor its use at all times and avoid possible threats.
- You can check your card transactions at any time in the Banco Sabadell App by selecting your card.
- Add your card in Google Pay, Apple Pay or Samsung Pay to pay more conveniently with your smartphone. This mobile payment method is completely secure and guarantees the security of your cards during your trips, excursions or outings.
