This year, the people at Banco Sabadell are once again making history at the Oxfam Intermón Trailwalker Girona: 59 teams, over 400 workmates, thousands of steps and more than €85,000 raised with the shared goal of bringing drinking water to communities affected by climate change.
A breathtaking route along the Greenway from Olot to Sant Feliu de Guíxols lies in wait for us in Girona on 5 and 6 April. From 100 km in a maximum of 35 hours to 10 km in 4 hours, each team will face its own challenge.
Companionship, commitment and self-improvement
The Oxfam Intermón Trailwalker is much more than a sporting challenge. It is a test of companionship, commitment and self-improvement that begins months before, with training, fundraising initiatives and each group’s strategies to achieve its goal: listen to your team, encourage each other in difficult moments and keep going when tiredness sets in.
We have been supporting this event for a decade because, in addition to the impact that the physical and psycho-emotional wellbeing that walking has on us, we believe in the power of shared effort and the strength of people united by a shared purpose. 524 #TrailwalkerSabadell teams have already taken part in the different editions of the event since 2014, raising €710,000 to achieve fairer and more sustainable communities.
This year, we will also have a second round, the Oxfam Intermón Trailwalker returns to Madrid six years after the last edition, on 31 May, to the Sierra de Guadarrama and we will have more than 40 teams participating.
Wellbeing and Kilometres.
