The Board of Directors of Banco Sabadell has appointed Margarita Salvans and Gloria Hernández as Independent Directors, replacing Laura González Molero and Alicia Reyes Revuelta, who have expressed their appreciation for having taken part in the Institution’s decision-making over recent years, “during a period of significant growth for the Bank”.

The structure of Banco Sabadell’s top management body remains unchanged, and its composition is compliant with the principles of good corporate governance, in terms of size, gender equality and diversity.

These two new appointments will be submitted for shareholder approval at the next Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Margarita Salvans is Chief Financial Officer, a member of the Management Committee and of the Board of Directors of Mango. She joined the fashion group in 2013 and, since then, she has held positions of responsibility in the areas of store procurement, internal control and management control, where she has supported the various channels and business lines at Mango to achieve objectives.

She began her professional career at Boston Consulting Group before later becoming involved with the financial sector. From 2008 to 2013, she worked at Caixa Catalunya, holding responsibilities in the areas of management control and pricing.

Salvans studied Business Management at the University of Pompeu Fabra (UPF) and has an MBA from the IESE Business School.

Gloria Hernández studied economics at the Complutense University of Madrid and has an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth. She completed her training with specific programmes for directors and CFOs imparted by IE University and the Escuela de Consejeros. She has been an Independent Director at Grupo Dia since 2022, at Nortegas since 2020, and at BanSabadell Seguros since 2024. She is also Chair of the Board Audit Committee of all the aforesaid companies.

Hernández has extensive experience in management, thanks to her career development as State Economist and her role as Director General of the Treasury and Financial Policy. She was also an ex officio Board member at the Bank of Spain and at the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).

Furthermore, she has held several top executive roles in Banco Pastor, as Chief Financial Officer from 2004 to 2011 and, subsequently, in Bankinter, as Head of Capital Markets (2011 to 2015) and as Chief Financial Officer (2016 to 2019).
