Banco Sabadell continues to deploy additional support measures for those affected by DANA and, having identified an unusually high need for assistance and advice, it has set up two local centres in the ‘ground zero zone’ with more than twenty specialists in place to assist families and businesses.

These two centres, located in Catarroja (Pol. Ind. Bony Calle 31, 109) and Torrent (Ramón y Cajal, 24), will provide services to individuals and to SMEs, self-employed professionals and businesses. The Institution will provide firsthand support and advice across a broad range of services thanks to a team of managers specialised in all types of financial operations and services, as well as offering help with applications to receive business continuity aid for companies affected by DANA.

Banco Sabadell’s Eastern Territorial Manager, Fernando Canós, underlined the firm commitment of the bank to families and businesses in the municipalities affected by the storm, indicating that these two new spaces and the specialists working there “will serve to give the best and fastest response to all customers who need help at this time”.Our way of banking will always be based on being close to people and to their businesses, on building trust and on a commitment to excellence”, he added.

Specifically, the business experts at Banco Sabadell will manage the needs of businesses and self-employed professionals across the board, while providing advice on point of sales terminals or other payment methods, according to the particular needs identified. They will also offer advice on insurance claims linked to the storm with the support of managers from the insurance line.

Public administration specialists will be brought in to provide continuity for local entities and to make them aware of the financing facilities that they can access. Similarly, support will be provided to professional associations and bodies through Sabadell Professional, providing financing to those who need it.

Specialists in medium- and long-term funding will offer specific financing alternatives depending on each business’ situation. With the assistance of sectoral experts, they will obtain an in-depth understanding of the macroeconomic situation specific to each business activity so that they can help companies with their decision-making.

Maintaining the highest quality of service for all customers

Banco Sabadell offers a firsthand solution and continuity to those affected by the storm and maintains the highest quality of service for all of its customers.

These centres also have meeting rooms and customer service staff for individual customers. They will be an interim venue for those professionals who are temporarily working from home because their offices remain unusable.

This new initiative is additional to the other support measures that Banco Sabadell has put in place to offer fast and effective help to customers in the areas of the Valencian Community impacted by the storm.

The support plan includes the rollout of mobile branches to facilitate the ordinary banking business that customers would usually do at a conventional branch, such as cash withdrawals, deposits or transfers, as well as the installation of cash dispensers in the districts of Benetúser and Algemesí.

Furthermore, the new Guarantee Lines of the Official Credit Institute (Instituto de Crédito Oficial, or ICO) are being used to offer customers who are individuals, self-employed professionals, businesses or retail outlets a line of credit with 0% interest during the first three months to help those affected by the DANA storm to return to normal as quickly as possible.

In addition, as part of its support for the Valencian Community, the Bank has approved a 100 million euro extension of the line of credit available to the Valencian government (Generalitat Valenciana), and has also green-lit the extension, initially of up to 75 million euros, for the official funding and guarantee facilities of the Mutual Guarantee Society (MGS), so that this institution can help those affected with what they need.
